All Employees are kept up to date on all standard health and safety requirements. Our drivers have hard hats, safety vests and boots. Any freight classified as Dangerous Goods is transported by only those with the certifications to do so.How can I pay for my services?
Invoices are created monthly at the beginning of the month for the month prior (unless other arrangements have been made) and are due upon receipt. Cornerstone Courier Inc accepts payments by Cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer.
Is Cornerstone Courier Inc. open on the weekends and on holidays?
Cornerstone Courier Inc. has staff around the clock 24/7 to accommodate your afterhours needs. Our regular business hours are Monday –Friday 8:00 am- 5:00pm anything outside of these hours is considered afterhours. Advanced bookings are helpful to guarantee your delivery but emergency orders can be placed. We always do our best to meet our customers’ needs. Additional charges for this service may apply.
Can I place my order online?
Orders can be emailed directly to dispatch or called in to your branch. Contact your branch for dispatcher contact emails. We currently do not have internet ordering available.
Are my shipments insured while being transported by Cornerstone Courier Inc.?
Cornerstone Courier Inc. assumes maximum liability of $1.00 per shipment of 100lbs or less unless a higher value is stipulated. Shipments over 100lbs the maximum liability will be $1.00 per lb unless a higher value is stipulated. Each of our waybills has a value section in which customers can request additional insurance which is 50 cents per $100 of declared valuation.
Do I have to fill out a credit application to have Cornerstone Courier Inc. do a delivery for me?
We recommend that you fill out a credit application so that you have access to our customer rates. However, Cash on Delivery (COD) is an option for those who do not wish to open an account with us or fill out a credit application. COD is subject to additional fees.
Can Cornerstone Courier Inc. contact their drivers while they are on the road?
Yes, Cornerstone Courier Inc. uses a 2-way radio system so that we can contact our drivers with any updates or further instruction. If customers wish to reach a driver they must relay the message through dispatch.
Am I able to ship freight that is classified as Dangerous Goods?
Dangerous Goods can be shipped using Cornerstone Courier Inc. if they are labelled and packaged correctly. We must be notified that your order is Dangerous Goods when it is placed so we can ensure it is transported by a driver with TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) Certifications. Extra charges may apply.
How long does it take to set up an account?
Our credit application is one single sided page. Once it has been submitted processing of a completed credit application takes 1-2 business days. If you require a shipment done immediately contact your sales representative and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
What is Fuel Surcharge?
A fuel surcharge is added when you are invoiced for your deliveries. It is a percentage that fluctuates monthly and is standard in the courier industry. Contact your branch each month to ask for the current fuel surcharge (FSC).
